YOUR REMOTE MACHINE. YOUR CALL.

Your agent
keeps working.
You stay
in control.

When a task needs administrator permission on your remote Ubuntu machine, Syn brings the request to your Mac. Review it, approve with Touch ID or your Mac login password, and let the work continue.

MEET SYN

THE MOMENT THAT MATTERS

The work is happening remotely.
The decision comes to you.

Syn works with eligible sudo requests from agents and commands you start yourself. No particular agent integration required.

01 / WORK

Your agent gets to work.

Building, fixing, making progress.

02 / PAUSE

A task needs sudo.

The request waits for your decision.

03 / DECIDE

It finds you on your Mac.

Review the details. Make the call.

A MOMENT OF CONTROL

In the real app, every approval requires fresh Touch ID or Mac login-password authentication.
This demo simulates that step and never asks for a password.

FROM SETUP TO “ALL DONE”

Close the distance.
Keep the decision.

Everyday approvals connect directly between
your paired Mac and remote machine.
No Syn cloud relay.

01

Connect your machine.

Add your machine, verify its identity, and follow the setup instructions.

02

Review the request.

See which machine is asking, who’s asking, and exactly what needs permission.

03

Approve.

Authenticate on your Mac. That one task can continue. The next request needs a new decision.

First setup includes a one-time command in a trusted administrator terminal on the remote machine.

20 SECONDS WITH SYN

A small interruption.
A smoother workflow.

See a request make its way from the remote machine to your Mac.

Machine and command details in this film are fictional.

CONTROL, BY DESIGN

A clear request.
A deliberate decision.

01

One approval. One request.

No standing grants. Each new request needs its own decision.

02

The details come first.

Review the machine, account, executable, and separate arguments. Potentially sensitive arguments stay hidden until revealed.

03

Your Ubuntu password stays remote.

Syn doesn’t collect it or send it to your Mac.

04

Fresh authentication. Every time.

Approve with Touch ID or your Mac login password. An unanswered request is never automatically approved.

Syn adds approval after normal sudo policy. It doesn’t decide whether a command is safe. Approving an administrator command can permit powerful changes.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you
make the connection.

Does Syn only work with Codex?

No. Syn works with eligible sudo requests, including requests from other agents and commands you start yourself.

Do I need a Syn cloud account?

No. Your Mac needs a direct network route to the paired remote machine, such as the same LAN or a virtual network like Tailscale. If you use Tailscale for that connection, stay connected to receive requests and allow the connection in its access rules.

How long do I have to respond?

Requests expire after 90 seconds. Syn never automatically approves an unanswered request. An interactive remote terminal may then offer its normal password prompt.

Can I approve from my phone?

The iOS app is coming soon.

LET’S KEEP THINGS MOVING

Let the work continue.
Keep the decision yours.
